The only difference is the color. And of course the price.

They both taste the same.

New flock coming this spring from a good friend that is hatching out a couple dozen chicks.

I couldn’t tell you the price in our area, mostly because my wife does most of the shopping and we don’t eat all that many I guess.  A dozen might last us 2+ weeks?

I make 3 fired eggs every morning with Cooper black pepper cheese melted on top.

My 3 muts get one split among them, whenever my wife and I don't go to bfast, which is at least twice a week.

Hannaford in my area has large white a dollar more than large brown.  WTH is the difference?

Funny   up here in NH the white eggs are usually less expensive than the brown eggs . The other day they were 6 bucks a dozen for either one . 2019 they were 89 cents a dozen for white  and 10-20 cents more for brown.  Prices have fluctuated between $3 - $8 dollars since early 2022

Paid 6.79 for an 18 pack yesterday at the Walmart.   They would have to be triple that for me not to buy any.   I have eggs every weekend.  I don't do breakfast all week but always on the weekend as it's my favorite meal.  $6 for 18 is still .30 an egg and one of the cheapest things to eat.  But def higher than normal and eggs are in a lot of things and will drive the price up.  Can't raise chickens and get eggs for .30 each so will be buying them at the store.   I would be happy to pay that amount if the farmer saw the direct result of it.

I bought a duck yesterday and it was $3.69 a pound so thought that was a good deal esp now with the avian flu.  I might stop and get another.  I missed too many this fall!

Yes and a decent amount of work

A lot of the people who do it go crazy with it though, almost a fanaticism. My mom and a close friend of ours fit the bill. :)
