What is something in the hunting, fishing or trapping world that you've never done but want to?

I love learning new things, pursuing a new species or trying a different implement. What's something for whatever reason you have never done like ice fishing, trapping, duck hunting, bowhunting elk etc. that you'd love to try or get into?

Still haven't killed a deer with my muzzle loader.  And, would love to do some kind of travel hunt.  My cousin is from California and has gotten into hunting the last few years.  We've talked about doing a hunt out west- maybe hogs or elk.  My all time bucket list is a moose hunt- i'll keep doing the Maine lottery until i get a tag or i croak.

Ice Fishing (still something I will do when I get the time to take up a new hobby), Striper Fishing and Deep Sea Fishing.

I can't think of anything hunting-wise that I would say that I really wish to do, but I certainly wouldn't turn down new experiences. I guess maybe just hunting a new location (Pacific Northwest, West or Africa) not because of any specific game animal more to see and learn about the territory.

Ive got a list of things! Theres really too much to list so I'll keep it short.

Ice Fishing- Don't live close enough to places that get enough ice on a regular basis now (this year is different) as well as not having anyone to go with

Trapping- Would love to do it, but wont just due to logistics

Coyote hunting- Id love to, but by the time its coyote season I have to take care of the things I neglected during the fall. Unlikely i'll ever go out for them.

Elk and Moose hunting- cost and logistics, but one day I will

Hunting back in Europe where my family is from- Logistics, but plan is winter of 2026 to go

Salmon fishing Alaska- Hopefully one day I'll find time, but its progressively gotten lower on the priority list

Fly fishing out west- Pretty low on priority list at this point

Ptarmagin hunting in Alaska- Won't go with out taking my dog and driving to Alaska is logistically a nightmare, but maybe one day way in the future

Whitetail hunt in the midwest- Likely will happen, just probably not for a few years

Thankfully I should be heading out west this year for a bird hunt that I can target a couple new species I've wanted to hunt. 2026 might scratch off elk from my list though.

I actually did this last season and took up duck hunting.  Didn't want to take on a new hobby and that kept me away from it for a few years.  But man do I love it.  Won't go crazy and travel all over for it but hunting on our lease ponds has been so much fun.

I've always wanted to catch a mahi mahi casting.  Am working on that for possibly 2026.   I'm not a travel guy but might do a trip then.  image.jpeg.09a251e4067f2ec84d9fe7a7360b8bd3.jpeg

Drive out west and spend a week camping/fly fishing

I did this twice in my mid-20's.  Each time, i started in California, visiting friends; then drove toward Yellowstone country.  Spent a few nights camping and fishing in Northern AZ, Idaho and then about 3 weeks in Yellowstone.  Fished all over the Firehole and Madison rivers.  It was spectacular.  A few years later, i did a five-day backcountry guided horsepack trip into the 3rd meadow of Slough Creek.  Would love to do another one like that again some day.

I'd like to try tracking in Maine or the Adirondacks.  It probably won't happen.  Always seems like there are too many responsibilities at home to take off for an extended amount of time.
