mowin Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I think this is rather interesting. If you can pick and choose when you can activate it depending on your travels. But its the cell cams that are in areas of zero cell areas this could be useful as long as it's not so stupidly expensive. https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/satellite-phone-service cervidchasers and corydd7 2
2BuckBizCT Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I'm shocked ring cam hasn't gotten into trail cams. I use one behind my house with just enough wifi to capture some cool videos in the woods.

I think I'm going to try to rig up something with a ring cam for those, I just need to figure out how to do live feeds so that anyone can view them...

This starlink/T-Mobile eliminates the need for cell towers or a WiFi signal. Splitear, GreeneHunter and Bucksnbows 3

Right. I meant I'm surprised that haven't started to make trail cams since they cams have great clarity and long lasting batteries mowin 1

I've used an old cell phone. They still connect to WiFi when your phone service is switched to a new phone. You can also stream live to YouTube from the phone if you have enough subscribers, if not you can use a free program called OBS Studio to stream live to YouTube from the phone. At YouTube you can choose to make the feed public or private. Another option is https://m.reolink.com/us/product/rlc-811a/ if you want to zoom or https://m.reolink.com/us/product/rlc-810a/ no zoom. Both cameras can connect to YouTube thru OBS. Im not sure but they can probably connect directly to YouTube without OBS. This guy is using the no zoom cam https://www.youtube.com/live/F42jHvFBUAc?si=1Dhl2JISmmQLOgnN Edited February 10 by BirdBrain
BirdBrain Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Another option get https://getryoko.com/ryoko-pro/product?l=en&vndr=ryoproggsan&subid3=21353386778&subid=167018828550&subid2=727000857994&subid4=&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=CPC&utm_campaign=24w45_A-Basic_Branded_5&gad_source=2&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4fi7BhC5ARIsAEV1YiYJPWKXzoBaNeiYDArXwSMi64dnJqSee2gNIctaSk2pnGNhtzA6u0kaAi_TEALw_wcB Get a battery pack with a solar charger. Plug the phone and ryoko into the battery pack. The phones battery, the ryoko battery and the solar battery pack it will run for a long long time but won't have night vision.
