All the microplastic beads in water bottles, tap water etc has me asking…..what’s the answer?

My wife drinks 3-5 bottles a day and I drink lots of tap water.

Steel or glass examples?

Many people use a filter  system like this at home . Word of advice,I watched a YouTube where they tested this top seller against a cheap copy, they sent the filtered water to a lab and the cheaper one came out on top .

pretty much everyone at the gym and guys on the job carry and use SS water bottles .

I use Stainless jugs for water and my coffee . We are on town water , that is way better  than our well  water we had . Used to have yo user CLR in the back toilet tank to keep it clean,  now its always clear water .  So may not be perfect but way better than bottle.

a filter system on your faucet or fridge. Waterdrop makes an affordable and relatively easy install.

Definitely get your water tested every couple of years. Things can change quickly. Our private water is tested and perfect, but we still use a glass pitcher/filter. It might be lifestraw IIRC. I can check later when I'm home. For on the go, stainless steel (not the stanley lead crap) or we use those green bottles (Mountain Valley Spring Water).

I installed 2 whole house filters just as the water comes into the house from my well ... one regular filter and one charcoal filter ! Works just fine !

sounds great, but you should still test the water from the source you are actually drinking from (I assume kitchen sink?)

i've tried to find the combo whole house filters and its getting harder to find them. basically all you find now is the X micron particulate filters.

Buying water in plastic bottles is insane from a cost standpoint. We have a well with excellent water and I fill metal 32 oz. “water bottles” from our filtered refrigerator water. We also have a water softener throughout the home. Tastes great, no additional cost and no micro plastics.

I drink from the "hose" all day long. SENY water (Westchester) is the best tasting water out there.

4-5 of these a day...hate the taste of bottled water

I have a reverse osmosis system under the sink with a separate tap for our drinking water. I have a softener for the whole home system but there is no need to filter the rest of the house like my drinking water.

I have a ton of Yeti SS water bottles and coffee cups, not because I'm worried about microplastics, but mainly because I like the quality, and I get most of them for free from work or vendors. I still use my plastic Nalgene bottle a lot especially when I am traveling and working in the field. They are damn near bullet proof, and I can be pretty rough on my gear. Microplastics are way down on the list of things that I am worried about from a health perspective.

do you put minerals back into the water? RO removes a lot of the ones you want.
