Doc’s concerns on HNY

Doc is asking why the owner of HuntingNY didn’t turn the site over to a new owner instead of just abandoning it.

For the record, @nywaw, the owner of this site, spent 2 years trying to do exactly that.  Once it was abundantly clear that keeping the old site up and running was not an option, Matt (NYWAW) decided to start up this site as the next best option.

  I just read that over there.  I have noticed in the past Month- Airedale is all posted out and is not posting and now Doc is posting alot.

He's  back at at. With so few members and only a very few posting up Threads-it must get Tough to constantly  Try to Think up new Titles for Threads.

Very odd he let it go when it was rising in popularity. Probably had more lucrative things to be doing, but I wish him the best either way. Glad this site popped up when it did

I haven't check the old forum but it was always bizzare to me:

• BurmJohn (founder) - was so into hunting he moved from long island upstate to live/hunt, but then disappeared off forum
• Geno C (mod) - was also so into hunting he moved from long island upstate to live/hunt, worked in real estate selling hunting land! but then disappeared off forum 
• WNYBuckHunter (mod) - Was also huge into hunting, had a hunting property with lots of work done, etc. he was the only one who check in time to time.

again, 3 guys huge into hunting went ghost

I don't think so. @WNY Bowhunter is the red barn taxidermist, orchard hunting, shed finding machine. @wnybuckhunter was a guy named John IIRC

Still some guy's over there I respect greatly. For their own reasons they decided to hold on to HNY. But they will always be welcome here too! It was never 'us against them' for me.

Doc & Airedale (lately more so Doc) are doing a yeoman’s job at coming up with new thread idea’s.  I’ve lost my privileges there and just browse now like an old winter ravaged old buck, watching the rest of the herd get chased down and gobbled up by the big bad nasty (nywaw) coyote.

 I got banned in the same Month as around 3 other Guys. Pretty sure that was the last Month wnybuckhunter was there. 

 Yup,I mentioned this Site.

  You know something- as someone who Loves to write- ( 4 Published Books)-- did not make a dime-,I digress.-- Everyone  here knows ,I post alot and often. If,I was still active over there, I still would be posting. 

 Their Loss.

  I think a handful of members over there think it is Noble to have Loyalty to the Slow end.

I can read only on that site after being  booted for joining  here. Miss a few members but imo foolish to stay there witnessing a slow death

It's crazy because Burmjohn invited me to it from the Realtree forums and was very enthusiastic about it. Jon (WNYBuckhunter) I think was just fed up dealing with it all. He's still active on FB. We all hit a point where the juice isn't worth the squeeze, and nothing is unconditionally exempt from that.
