crappyice Posted February 14 Posted February 14 So excited to go visit my daughter (aka BroadwayHunter from the old forum- haha!) who is "studying" abroad, more like living her best life! She has a whole bunched planned so I am simply along for the ride! Anyone have any "hole in the wall" authentic eats I need to not miss? Bucksnbows, GreeneHunter, virgil and 6 others 7 2

Robhuntandfish Posted February 14 Posted February 14 This guy has a few outdoor cooking shows on the outdoor channel and restaurants in England. Some great looking dishes. I'm betting the places are costly but a once in a lifetime thing to try? He makes a dish on a fallow deer horn that would be cool to try. It he does all wild game. https://mikerobinsonchef.com/#:~:text=In a quest to harvest,The Harwood in London – with "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson

Food from around the world being sold there. I went twice when I was in London in the summer and would have gone back a third If I had the time crappyice 1
Wildcat Posted February 15 Posted February 15 If you want to get out of the city take a ride to Marlow.. very cool little town with authentic pubs…. Enjoyed my time there.. crappyice 1

crappyice Posted February 15 Author Posted February 15 it's like she's been there her whole life!!!! The text we recently received.... This is sort of what I was thinking for while you guys are here. Everything is obviously up for discussion and we can do whatever, but these are my initial thoughts Tuesday: ⁃Meet somewhere for a little breakfast or brunch moment ⁃(I have class at 2:00) ⁃After class meet for dinner: pub dinner - maybe a place with live music Wednesday: (I have class at 9:30) ⁃Meet at 1:00 at the river (see Big Ben, the London eye, lunch at borough market, st Pauls, tower Bridget) ⁃Then get dinner somewhere, we can do another pub or I can find a place ⁃Always end up at the pub tho Thursday: ⁃Maybe we go to fortitude bakery for breakfast ⁃Primrose hill in the morning ⁃Notting hill in the afternoon - portobello market is there ⁃Maybe then we go to Greenwich, walk around and get dinner there ⁃End at pub Friday: ⁃Changing of the guards in the morning ⁃Maybe a museum, National Portrait Gallery, V&A, British Museum?? ⁃Camden Market - maybe lunch in Camden town ⁃Walk around in soho - maybe dinner in chinatown ⁃Maybe a west-end show Friday night? Saturday: ⁃Take a day trip to Cambridge or Oxford maybe?? We totally don’t have to do that but it is an option ⁃We also can do like covent garden, Westminster abbey, tower London stuff like that ⁃End night at pub 2BuckBizCT, The_Real_TCIII, Lawdwaz and 3 others 4 2
