Rehabs what do u think of them

I am hating this rehab . Mom went into hospital Saturday  they moved her to a nursing rehab . They have dislocated her arm i am so pissed

Damn Cynthia.  Sorry to hear this.  There are some good ones, but I believe there are more bad ones.  Unless you are extremely well off, and can pay out of pocket for privately owned facilities, your at the mercy of the state and where they have a bed available.  

I won't get into what my MIL went through.

Short term or long term?  There seems to be a significant difference between the two. We went through this with my late father in law (long term for 7 years) and now with my Mom who is in assisted living. Her situation is far better than was my FIL’s. She’s private pay, thank God. She and Dad who is long since passed bought long term health insurance and it has been a huge help.

Hoping  for short term but now if the arm is dislocated  it maybe longer then we like

She also now has bruising on her bottom  like she was left on a bed pan to long .

Ya, too many elderly to look after per nurse.  My wife took two weeks off work when her mom was in rehab to take care of her during the day while in rehab.

There are 4 of us so there Is always one of us here till 9pm 

When she was in the hospital we took turns sleeping there with her over night

Between my wife and I parents we've been in every facility in this area the past few years and they are AWFUL. Understaffed, filthy, horrible care. Thank God my mother had the resources to hire reliable in home care for her final six months

I'm glad she's not alone.  I know she's happier because of it.  My wife has 4 brothers, 2 in other states, 2 close by, but only one helps out with household stuff. My wife does all the medical and personal hygiene stuff.
