2nd Annual NJ Bear Hunt

For anyone interested in getting together with a few fellow members for a NJ bear hunt, we will be chasing bears October 13-18.

The first 3 days are archery only (yes crossbows) and the last 3 days are archery and muzzle loader.

Brian’s property is full, so this will be a DIY hunt on public land.  But we have several lightly hunted honey holes that are overrun with bears that we will share with those that are interested.

Last year was a blast, and we had a 100% success rate!

Yes, I am in. Would plan to head down sunday to bait, then hunt opening monday/tuesday with bow.

WHOA !  Wait a second here !  I think this hunt should go to the highest bidders !  Just like they do for those limited tag hunts out west and for the 15 " Sealed Bid " Moose hunts in Maine !   You can do it as an " Open Auction " going to the two  highest bidders or as a " Sealed Bid " auction where only the two highest bidders are notified and the amount of the bids are not disclosed .    The funds could be used towards site costs !     Just the opportunity to hang around with Rusty the Celebrity has to be worth a "Premium Price Tag "  !

My plan was sweat equity. Most guys I know need some help doing something, and I'm willing to do that. Not any deliverance type stuff, but general work

For a bottle of bourbon I’m sure Brian would kick one of the guys off his land and take you instead.

Once we get around $3-4K I'd head to a 2-bear unit where I can get a color phase cinnamon or blonde.

19" skull please. don't cut it too close to 18", would hate to lose P&Y after the drying period.

In NJ we shoot them, measure the skull, and if they are too small we throw them back and shoot another one.
