For 5 or 6 years the farmer next to my cousin's place left his corn standing through the winter, resulting in some very fat and happy deer. Most of the buttons sported hard horn and the yearlings looked like racked 2 year olds. G-man 1

dbHunterNY Posted March 3 Posted March 3 it looks too compact and under developed to be a yearling buck with possibly even with broken antlers. even runt yearlings around here look different than that, despite just being small. corn situation wouldn't have much direct effect on it but worlds of difference with it's mom providing the nutrients and related genetic expression from what I've read. earlier born fawn with a better start in life with the mother having ample food for multiple seasons prior. that's what my money would be on. Rusty Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 (edited) I’ll tell you what, the little guy has some serious attitude! I’ve got pictures of him picking fights with anybody and everybody. Edited March 3 by Rusty
