I think I mentioned on here somewhere that our kid wanted a truck as he started a biz last summer with his buddy. Kid worked his tail off last year and is pumped to get going once this weather snaps. He officially got his license this past Nov.
Truck market has been like the housing market, expensive and sell quick. This one ended up being not too far away at a small dealer that only buys southern trucks. This one came outta Virginia, underneath is clean, 2 owner and a clean carfax.
2011 F-350 with the powerstroke. Has all the power to pull any heavy equipment they will be dealing with. His buddies dad has all the heavy equipment they could ask for.
Made him toss some of his money into the deal and we took care of the rest. Hell we only have one kid so what the hell why not, lol.

Sounds like a good Dad and a good kid off to a good start in life.  Right attitude means everything. Congrats to you both

I remember your posts. He's doing mowing/landscaping IIRC.

Congratulations mom, dad, you did good, as well as the young man.

Little bit of advice.  Don't try to get to big too fast.  You don't need to get every single job, even though you want it.  Learn the market, and most of all, learn from your mistakes.

Good luck.

I am sure he knows this but availability and access to machines will keep him busy year round. Run a stand up operation and opportunities for work will be endless. Dirty hands and clean money make this world go around!
