Fisher picture

I want to see a fisher in the woods. I've only gotten trail cam pics of them.  This is like the 5th or 6th pic of a fisher in this area.

Never seen one either. Just pics at an old property we use to own. Haven't gotten any pics around the new place.

Got this picture in November.  I think it's two fisher being chased by a yote, but it not clear enough to tell.

That is a large fisher.  We have a ton of them and see them more often than not while hunting.  Seen the biggest one ive ever seen this year.  Sometimes they make quite a bit of noise climbing and you wonder what is it.  Corey had that big one go under a brushpile next to the stand and he wasnt coming down til it left.  lol  They are pretty neat to watch.  Ive had them come out while calling for turkeys too.  Never seen any around til about 5-6 years ago.  Kinda like coyotes years ago.

We just got one on our 4-H cam when we checked today, the kids were super excited. We've been fighting to get a good photo of this one all fall, most are blury or out of frame.

I was very lucky enough to see a white fisher (not albino) one time while deer hunting in the Catskills.  They are quick hyperactive animals. Have also been fortunate to see an owl flying low through the trees hunting, about 15 feet away.  It was silent even when flapping its wings.

They aren't going to stick around if they know you're there.  Had one climb a pine tree a few yrds from my stand.  Got eye level and about came unglued trying to get get as far away from me as fast as possible.

I agree...They are no threat  unless you try to pick one up or release one from a trap....

Steuben Jerry posted a video a  few years back of his  domestic cat running off a fisher that was checking out his chickens...

I've been fortunate to see fisher two times while hunting, getting great video on my cell phone.  I do have a couple good still pics I can load here........pretty friendly after they get to know you.
