Rusty Posted March 8 Posted March 8 C’mon down to NJ, we’d love to have you take a few!! Bond,James Bond and mowin 2
mowin Posted March 8 Posted March 8 They need to change the bag limit to 2 bear regardless of which season. I'd take two.
Larry Posted March 9 Posted March 9 (edited) I personally have no desire to kill a bear. I do like seeing them. I had a small one try to climb into a ladder stand with me. I don't have a problem with someone else shooting one. I have never had bear meat and I don't want to kill one and find out I don't like it. Then there's getting it out of the woods. I hunt a lot alone during the week. Edited March 9 by Larry I hate autocorrect what a pain in the ass Robhuntandfish and Rusty 2

I never dove into it but have hunted the early season a few times in the northern zone and then deer/bear hunted in gun season in the Dacks. My area is right in the middle of the N/S zone and bear sightings here are very rare. They just reopened a bear season in Madison Co a few years ago and the take is like 2 a season. Which I would rather have none than too many like NJ. It's prob shocking for you that I've never had one on trail cam in my life. I've hunted the same farms for over 40 yrs. Never seen a bear, bear sign or one on camera until 4 yrs ago. Got one pic 4 yrs ago. Last year I probably got a dozen. My nephew seen the bear twice during bow season, the rest of us haven't spotted one while hunting yet. I predict I'll spot one this spring while turkey hunting. Rusty and Robhuntandfish 2
