Splitear Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 We hire a guy with a portable mill to come out and mill lumber for us occasionally. I love helping him, it’s really amazing how many logs those things will go through, and I love the thought that goes into getting the most from each log. Your mill looks great, you can handle some serious lumber with that thing. G-man 1
Cabin Fever Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Very nice! That should keep you busy (ier)! G-man 1
dbHunterNY Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 should make it last a bit longer and definitely now easy to come up with rainy day work. won't have to wait for wood to dry out either for anything that needs to be cut very size specific. ours just sits partially outside under a over hung roof of the side of the barn. also lay down style on a slab not on wheels so it's pretty much its home for good. Mine was on a slab 1st year .. put away in barn for winter.. put on blocks 2nd year. Took down and put away for winter. No more moving that half ton track.. just roll in and out.. Feel better keeping out of elements when not using it for weeks at a time..
