blackbeltbill
Thought,I would post up just 1 small segment of my Full Body Workout done on Monday- Wednesday, and Friday. The Steve Reeves method of workout frequency. It takes me roughly 1 hour + 15 minutes with some good rest breaks in between. For Pushups,I alternate between Floor and Feet up on a Chair and very the hand spacing often. The first type of Pushup,I do are the Military Pushups or Top Half . I start with a full 3 Seconds at Arms Locked out and lower fairly slowly to halfway down and press up fairly slowly. I hold the Top Locked out position for 3 Seconds and continue as above. I usually do 2 Sets with a good 5 minute break in between sets. A set of 10 Reps like this will take over 40 Seconds. Very enjoyable. My 2nd type of pushups are the " Prison Pushups". These are done " in the middle" with no Lockout and for these,I move at a medium speed and go for a few sets of between 20- 25. Sometimes,I will go for 3 sets of these pushups. Hope Y'ALL enjoyed this Thread. I am 63 and weigh 225 right now. I was over 250 a few years back. Take The Multiple Use Area Challenge.

I was kind of a smart ass lol No more super heavy Bench Press for this 63 year old. My best was 410lbs with back flat on the Bench. Those long 40+ second- might be close to 1 minute long sets with 12 reps with the 3 second Lockouts and moving slow fills the bill today. Take The Multiple Use Area Challenge. Nomad
There’s so ,many ways to do them ! One of my favorite is every minute on the minute is to do 1, then 2 then 3 adding 1 until you can’t complete the number of push-ups without the sixty seconds running out . One odd thing, when I do push-ups a lot I find my back gets sore ! When in Fla the next couple months I’ll have a one pod Kettlebell and bodyweight exercises to keep me somewhat strong . blackbeltbill
Jeremy K
I went from doing 300 a day and took a break and I was amazed how fast you can lose it. I'm slowly getting back up to that number. Nomad and blackbeltbill
blackbeltbill
This past Friday ,I did 4 Sets of wide hand-spacing Pushups. I was up to my goal of holding the Top Locked out position for a good 7 Seconds between each rep. The Pushups themselves are slow. Slow Negatives to halfway down and then up at a medium speed. My whole Body Workout takes just over 1 hour on Monday-Wednesday- Friday. Martial Arts and Boxing is everyday of course for roughly 40 minutes or so. Plenty of rest time to enjoy Hiking outdoors and keep up with the Reading. Take The Multiple Use Area Challenge.
