ZAG Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 So my kids scrolling thru his instagram feed today and comes across a small video skit about a rackety sketchy looking tree stand. That tree stand he made all on his own at our last home when he was 9. I recall posting about it on the other forum, basically how he made this sketchy stand out back. He’d climb up with his bow and arrows and sit there while I was hunting in my stand. I was dad of the year for even letting him climb up. I have zero idea how a pic of it made it to insta. Maybe the new owner posted it somewhere. We got a kick outta it. I’ll post the screen shot. Last pic I took, oct 2017 Lomax and Robhuntandfish 2
mowin Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 Definitely not the safest stand I've seen. Did Mom know he was climbing that, lol. I cringe now thinking about some of the trees I climbed as a kid. ZAG 1
nywaw Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 That's crazy the pic wound up there! As a kid, you definitely think you're invincible. We used to play hide and seek in trees, jump out of them to run away, lots of sprained ankles, bumps and bruises. Can remember making giant piles of leaves or snow and jumping out of trees into them. No too smart! mowin 1

No too smart! Exactly how it should be today!! We always took the get outside approach and let them learn and explore. We never wanted to wrap him I bubble wrap like many parents these days. nywaw, mowin and grampy 2 1
