The FULL + HEARTY Hunters Breakfast.

Recommended Posts

Turkey Books Author Gene Nunnery wrote about the importance of a - Full and Hearty Breakfast  before setting out to Hunt. In his case that Hot Breakfast was prepared  by his wife and Nunnery  sat down to that Hot Breakfast at 3.30am in the morning.

No Hot + Full Breakfast for me though. 2 cups of Coffee and a Vitamin/Mineral Tablet with a container of either Chocolate/ High Protein Boost or a High Protein Muscle Milk and out the Door.

So-- what type of a Breakfast do you have before leaving the house?

Depends on where I’m hunting. Down at camp where I usually do all day sits I’ll usually eat a bagel or muffin. Nothing real big. I’ll have a pack with sandwiches, snacks and drinks for the day.
If hunting at home usually a granola bar on the way. Will eat lunch at noon when I get home.

The only time I usually eat breakfast before a hunt is when my wife is going and we stop for breakfast sandwiches. I usually just throw either pop tarts granola bars or a candy bar in my pack. Once in a blue moon I'll make a light breakfast before leaving, but it's rare.

I used to stop at a diner once in a while after a hunt, but that's become a PITA now. FUKH!

I wonder what the correlation percentage is of those who eat 4 eggs, toast, and a 1/2 pound of bacon before heading out and falling asleep on stand to those who don't eat anything before heading out.

Did somebody say breakfast.....im in!

I dont have breakfast before the hunt except on opening day of gun season as kind of a tradition.  But breakfast is a definite in between hunts.  Actually its a must!

If you don't like bacon, your wrong.....

Bacon makes almost everything better. I tried some bacon wrapped fruit and it wasn't to hot, so I tossed the fruit and ate the bacon.

The only thing that makes bacon better is bacon cooked over a camp fire!
