Great North Dakota Blizzard Of 1966

I remember my Dad talking about the blizzard of '66 where the roads were closed and he had to go out a window at the house to get out.  Then he cleared out his place a bit and walked down to his buddies bar in the middle of the road that was completely snowed in, and found him stuck in the house then dug his door out.   We have much better snow removal systems these days for sure so big snow events arent generally as crippling.  But all you have to do is look at Buffalo's blizzard this year to show us that nature can overtake all that still.

I remember that storm.  We had a 6' tunnel out the front door.  Dad didn't keep it there long, didn't want it to collapse on someone.  I remember being so pissed at him for taking it down.
