Bullwinkle may be in a freezer

The old 7 pointer hasn't been seen since mid November 2022. But the doe is still here with the kiddos. And that crazy fox.

was he seen around this time of year in previous years? typically they don't change their ranges unless there's a major change in habitat or they go on what biologists refer to as an excursion and settle in somewhere else. excursions really aren't this time of year though.

He's been around for at least 4 years. Just checked the camera last week and he's still not around. The 4 pointer is, but the big guy has been gone since November. He's the one in my profile pic.

talk to neighbors or those that hunt there? i mean within a mile or so. Deer travel but I'd bet someone knows if it did get shot that isn't too far from you. besides if they know you're focused on bigger deer they might not think you're the one "killing everything as soon as it crosses the border....". lol everybody has evil neighbors until they talk to them without any preconceived notions.

It may be off in better feed area. Winter has been mild i have a couple that are not normally around  hanging here.
