I bought my first black powder pistol at last weeks auction. It’s a .50 cal kit gun, and whoever made it did a nice job of antiquing it. A friend of mine and I got to go out and shoot it today while sighting in my New Englander and my Hawken. This thing is almost too fun to shoot. With 20 grains of power, I could almost shoot it all day long. My friend (in the videos) is not a “gun guy”, but he loved all of it!

We were shooting at 25 yards, and had them all on an 8” target. I’m sure with some work on my end, it will be decently accurate, though I doubt I’ll do any competitive shooting with it.

That's better than I thought.  Has to be a blast to shoot.
