Number 28. ....

Well hit deer number 28 this am on way to work.  Low speed  hit  knocked it down and drove over.. hit the plow frame  no damage  just hair... keeping ahead  of  most of my friends hunting season kills....  joys  of living in the country and long drive to work in middle of  night... 

Had to edit .. was to damm early.

Yeah I think you might have me on total, that's pretty impressive.  Ive only got 26 seasons under my belt and I didn't kill that many from age 16 to 24. 

Insurance can't be cheap?

Old vehicles  just  liability  on this  one. Been dropped  many times over the years..

I just can't fathom 48 deer hit.  We're infested with deer.  I only hit three in 40+ yrs of driving, and almost 1 million miles as a truck driver in my younger yrs.  Glad this one didn't cause any damage to your truck.

Interesting idea for a topic. I have hit three in my life. In every case they were able to run off.

Well called to work at 1 am or 3 am and 70 mile drive  to work or 185 if working out of Cleveland

Most of these run away only had 10 or so  need to be reported for damage. Lot of almost.stopped bumps. This one would of been  fine but slid under truck and i drove it over

Mostly doe  killed  did hit  a really.good buck  once  got up and ran.. looked for it next day for quite awhile never found it .probably  lived.

wow 48 is nuts. I'm at 0, same with all my friends and family. I did see one hit in front of me on highway once if that counts.

Ok, somehow I read 48 deer vehicle accidents.  But now I'm reading 28? 

You had me thinking I screwed up until I noticed you edited your post. 

28 is still a lot. More than anyone I know by a couple dozen.

1 am  posting and fat fingers. 28 deer and 1 bear..  i never kept track of coon possoms or yote or other critters.  

So many close calls with deer as well.  Worse year had 5 deer  hit  by same.vehicle over several months.  Insurance dropped  me that year.   Never had a regular accident  or have never left the road. Just critter strikes...
