Wasn't going to hunt because it was 77°, but figured why not. Climbed up when I turned around, I see a deer bedded 80 yrds in front of me. Hauled up the xbow slowly and the deer was still looking at me, so I just sat there and watched. 10 minutes later deer gets up and starts feeling. I could see it was a spike. He eventually went back and bedded in the same spot. 15 minutes later a 8pt shows up and him and the spike started sparring. Again the spike went back to his bed, and the 8 started slowly feeding towards me. Took him 45 minutes to get 20 yards out with no shot opportunity because he was mostly facing our quartering to me. Then he decides to bed down with his front area of his shoulder facing me. Didn't love the angle, but was confident I could kill him, but I figured I'd wait. 45 min later my nephew pulls into the field to hunt. I could tell the buck was starting to get nervous and I figured he was going to bolt, so I shot. He only went about 80 yrds, and practically died in the spikes bed. Arrow took out his heart lungs and liver.
