I’ll have to do a write up for y’all because that shot while not far was dead nuts on while under pressure and crouched in an awkward position.
Ah heck. Here It it goes. So the doe came out 80 yards in front of us but we cant act fast enough to get on her before shes blocked by the logs we are sitting in. Now remember we are pretty exposed sitting in these logs so both of us have to absolutely freeze and stay still. The doe was followed by a fawn and then a buck so now we have 6 eyes on us. The buck and fawn kinda wander away while the doe was eating in front of us. After a bit she gets nervous and she’s looking at us trying to assess the situation but she’s up wind of us so she can’t wind us. Time passes by and she works up the courage to try and circle around us and get down wind. Now this is a huge problem because if she even gets to our left we are completely exposed. Welp you guessed it. She gets to our left and picks us out immediately. She’s stomping her feet at us then finally blows takes off running RIGHT BACK IN FRONT OF US COMPLETELY BROADSIDE BLOWING AWAY. My daughter gets on her real quick pulls the trigger and the doe bulldozes her way into the ground and flips over 20 yards further away from where she was standing. High fives and hugs around.
After gutting she took the top of the heart off and a lung.
Super proud of her.
