Trespassers

Been hunting my cousins property behind my cousins business for the last couple years. Have never seen anyone hunting in here but there is a hang on stand in here. My cousins land has always been posted. The land around him was posted years ago. Signs have fallen, etc. 

My cousins business is looking to buy all the land around them so we have gotten to know the current owners. All the land was reposted this year. When posting the land there was a mowed path under power lines that led from the woods to a backyard in the neighboring housing development about 100 yds away. When posting we placed a posted sign right at the entrance of woods. I took a screenshot of OnX so I knew who owned that house. Pulled the SD card yesterday. Got numerous pics of this guy on there.  Bird hunting with his dog and him walking in and out with his bow. Decided to hunt here today hoping to see him. 
 

10 minutes after I settle into my climber my cell cam goes off on another property. I open it up and there is a guy with his hands on his hips looking at camera. That land is my uncles and is HEAVILY posted. Part of that land borders state land. A small part.  but the camera is at least 75-85 yds onto his property. Don’t people understand what posted means???  I just don’t understand it. 
Now when I’m done hunting I’ve to stop to check to see if my camera is still there. Kind of pissed. 
If your the guy that got your pic taken from my cam today and your reading this, my buddy lives right down the road. He got your plate number. If my camera is gone I will be calling the police. My uncle does not want anyone hunting his land. Which is why it’s posted and has told me if I see anyone hunting, riding dirt bikes or 4 wheelers to call the cops.

Trespassers are like tailgaters and speeders its always about them,the law never applies to them,thats why they continue to break it.

That sucks. Happened to me last year. Caught a guy on camera during muzzleloader.

Best advice I can give is to hang a (non working )" Bait Cam " at eye level with another cam hidden pointed at the " Bait Cam " and wait and see ! It could be quite entertaining !

Trespassers suck! Just no respect! Thankfully, nothing has been stolen.... yet!

One good thing about cell cams is they should make someone think twice about trespassing

I’m not really sure what is going on with those laws now that a judge found some things unconstitutional. He didn’t have a weapon so no felony.

Last year we caught some scumbag sitting in one of our stands! He told me to go eff  myself, he wasn't going anywhere! OK no problem. I called him some effing names back and left. Not worth escalating things further, with some nut job with a rifle.

Long story shot. A fine young DEC officer escorted him off the property and wrote him three citations.

Then an hour or so later I shot my buck after scouting a new spot that morning! Only a few hundred yards from where the nut job was nabbed.
