Stubborn1vt
I'm looking for a pair of inexpensive binos for looking out the picture window of my house. I don't have much experience with binos, other than a pair of compacts that I carry in my pack. I'm sick of having to remember to take them out or put them back. They are 10x25 Leupolds that I bought at Dick's for $160 or so. What do you recommend for brands, stores, websites etc? I'd like something with a bit more magnification. They don't need to be compact. I'd like to spend less than $200 if possible.

If you’re bird and animal watching, the 8X or 10X is all you should need. mowin 1 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board

Lawdwaz
Vortex Diamondback are my truck binos and they are my only 10X glass. I have two other pairs of binos and they are both 8X.......I wouldn't carry 10X for hunting.
ZAG
I use my grandfather’s old bino’s. Amazon has a ton of knockoffs for cheap. I bought Ben a rangefinder for like 60 bucks last xmas and works great. NYRturkeycall

Cheap as hell, good optics, lightweight, just need to get yourself a good bino harness. biggamefish
I have a pair of vortex diamondbacks and a pair of lupolds. I dont think they make the lupold model anymore but Neither pair were much over 150 and are great. I also use them as a backpacking bino and hunting. Super versatile and both have great guarantees. eaglemountainman
For hand held use 8X and 10X will be you best option. If you plan to set up a tripod, 12X, 15X and 18X are available. Not sure what's available at your budget, though.
