G-man Posted February 15 Share Posted February 15 Have a couple of large isolated apple trees that were getting closed out by the surrounding hard woods.. a few hours and 30 to 40 trees later I have3 tree released that will hopefully get some growth and apple for the next decade or so. beforereleasing this large apple.and smaller.ine behind it.. afterdid another couple days ago..this is view from stand can see the released trees in these photoshave to clear a few trails in and out to the apples but thats another day... Then once pruned, they should produce well in most years. I have 30 acres of orchard ( old) I do a few trees every year.. have 2 new orchards 10 trees and 18b trees.. the 10 ten tree will get water sprouts the 18 is still new ( 2 years ) so I let them grow will look next year to select main limbs... They are 40 to 50 ft.. prolly 50 year s plus old I prolly won't prune much as theyvar just deer apples and have other orchard to concern myself with.. this is my.
