My apologies for the 3 piece!!! Your good. Not hijacked IMO. Those are in much better condition than mine. Looking at it further, it's not split bamboo, but a wooden rod. I still haven't found any pictures of rods with folding eyes like the one I have.

Figured I'd give some of the other fly fishing wackos a chance to chime in...
Bucksnbows
When it comes to boo, I lean on several friends that know that stuff blindfolded. There were hundreds of manufacturers of bamboo at one time, and most were utility rods. I have seen those eyelets before, but I couldn’t tell you the age based on just that. It looks like an aluminum real seat, so that helps age it. I only own one bamboo rod, a three piece Montague. I had it refurbished. Three pieces are common with bamboo rods as is having two tips. The idea with two tips being you rest one so it doesn’t “set” with a bend in it as it dries and you fish the second tip until it’s time to switch back. mowin 1 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board

The tip section has been shortened, most likely because it broke. Not worth much $100.
left field
Sadly true of a lot of old bamboo rods. Hang it on a wall. mowin 1 My Instagram
