lake was loaded with people yesterday and Sunday.  Was 15 here overnight so should be some decent ice around.  Not enough for sleds though i wouldnt think.

Hoping with the warmup/softer ground and rain this doesn't turn into a shit show.luckily the low temp for tonight looks like high 30's.going to get the mini lanterns and buddy heater ready just incase

I agree! The ground is saturated and I have a lot of standing water in the yard. I've been trying to thin out the dead ash anyways, but I'd rather do it on my terms and when I'm ready, instead of when it falls in an inconvenient place at an inconvenient time...

Yeah.  I just looked at the extended outlook.  I'm glad I didn't buy a new electric auger.  From what I saw, folks should get their maple trees tapped.

Weather person on channel 9 in Syracuse said that they are being very conservative for end of next weeks temps.  Has the possibility of being even much higher.

The wind is rippin' today! I hesitantly looked outside at daylight to see if any trees had fallen around the house, but so far, so good...

Buddy said the trails in his area are fantastic.  I'll be up there next weekend ice fishing.

If you want snow go to Tahoe. One of my good friend's is headed there for the super bowl weekend to ski. They got 350 inches of snow so far this season.

Fuel truck just came and topped off the tank.  We've burned 96 gallons of heating fuel since the end of September!  That includes our hot water too.  Some kind of winter.
