Wolc123
My wife and I took (10) “keeper” smallmouth (12-18”) on the upper Niagara this morning between 7:24 and 10:52. We also released (3) short ones and a big sheephead, all on 5/16 oz bucktail jigs. We were drifting along the grand island shoreline from this new build, below the Buffalo Launch club, to the power lines north of the south bridge. All the fish hit in 19-24 ft depths and the water temp was 67 F when we started. Robhuntandfish, Bucksnbows, Pygmy and 1 other

Bucksnbows
A good buddy from the NJWW site, his son and I ran offshore in his 22’ Key West CC for a long mixed bag day. Our primary target was Albies and bonita, and we caught a fair amount, but all the bonita were very small and were tossed back. The Albies were a blast on light tackle, but we couldn’t get them to come in to a chum slick so I could catch them on my 9 weight. The highlight of the trip was a 10’ plus hammerhead that swam within feet of the boat through our slick. By the time we grabbed the only rod (0f 14) that might handle him, he was gone. But I’ve never targeted sharks, just striped bass and bluefish. We see a lot of kayak anglers along the Jersey shore and once in a while, I’m one of them. No different than a lake, you just taste salt when splashed. 518BowSlayer
Finally got out on lake Ontario with our favorite captain out of Oswego on Thursday after having 3 cancelations this summer due to weather. Worth the wait! Had our limit by 815am. 5 kings 12 - 18lbs and a nice fat coho! Good times! Rusty, Robhuntandfish and Red
Robhuntandfish
Corey and I went out this morn. Caught like 20+ short walleye and one keeper that we ended up releasing cause didn't want to clean one fish. Lots of action but all smalls. Guys in other boats saying the same. Weird year. Robhuntandfish
Definitely no fishing today. Chicken wing run on Oneida lake. Got caught in it one year. Never again.
