They have the largest selection of books, magazines, etc. plus more copies of each title than your local library. Finding that out was huge! I used to get so frustrated with the lack of selection from my local library's digital content. NYPL usually has most everything I want, though I may have to put a hold on a few things. Ncountry 1
Otto Posted November 7, 2022 Posted November 7, 2022 I was amazed at the long list of magazines - some of which I still subscribe to. Some nice money savings from that alone. Splitear 1

I really enjoyed the books, but could never get into the HBO series. I was just the opposite, I couldn't get into the books but loved the series. My ADHD really appears while reading the books. Lol . Too much jumping around . I couldn't finish them.. Splitear 1

Sure man! Full disclosure:. I've read most of Mr Capsticks works at least a half dozen times. I read probably 50-60 books a year so anything new is great! Super nice guy, full of energy.

Splitear Posted December 31, 2022 Author Posted December 31, 2022 I have 2 going right now: 1: After watching one of @OldBrian’s videos, I picked up a copy of “Foxfire” and I’ve just cleared the introduction. I’m looking forward to reading this a little at a time. 2. I’m about 1/4 of the way through Stephen King’s “Dreamcatcher”. I’ve never read this one after seeing mixed reviews, but I’m glad I finally jumped into it. About 4 lifelong friends who get trapped at deer camp during an alien invasion (I think). Like most King books, it’s very character driven with the scary stuff acting as an antagonist behind them. Really good stuff is anyone is looking for a winter read. OldBrian 1

I put dreamcatcher down after about a zillion pages. It reminded me of the talisman, another one of his I couldnt get through. Also what was the insomnia one? Same deal

Same with some of the reviews of Dreamcatcher, which is why I have avoided it. I listened to Insomnia while driving to and from Maine, and kind of enjoyed it, it certainly picked up at the end, and had a good connection to The Dark Tower world. The_Real_TCIII 1
