We nymphed all day, you would have been thrilled.  The bottom midge was a size 24.     Several hookups in the afternoon, but could never get the fish on the reel or net.

Big ones have to run the gauntlet to get up to Troy NY. Dad out with my cousin and both doubled up on good ones and some smaller too. Dad in the pic. I had to work.

it was this morning while i was in the office. knowing my cousin they probably motored up to one of the feeder creeks with herring rigs and caught limit of 10 medium sized herring to use as bait.  then anchor in place and cast out a double hooked herring with a setup similar to what i guess would be a drop shot setup.

I later got sent my cousins. This was the one he caught when they doubled up on the two big ones. He's had boats follow him around so photo edited just in case with it being a public forum.

@2BuckBizCT my intuition was right by the way. I just noticed the blue tub of herring in the pic of my cousin's fish.
